#Cross_Country Training

Last week we started training for our annual cross country school competition. The students in room 7 are expected to run 6 laps - roughly 3km every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon.

Some students who are seriously looking at trying to make a placement at the Ohaeawai inter-school competition to qualify for the Maunu regional championships have a target of running 10-12 laps three times a week. This is equivalent to 5-6 kms.

They’ve started taking note of their individual times with hopes of improving these.  It also helps that they achieve 20 dojo points toward their camp passports as an added motivator every time they achieve these set targets.
